Library Foundation

The Washington County Public Library Foundation is a nonprofit foundation that seeks to promote a secure financial future for the Washington County Public Library System. The Foundation is building an endowment account for the long term financial success of the Library system and needs your support. The Foundation account will help support the growth and maintenance of the facilities, collections, and operations of the library system as our state resources continue to decline and our community's needs continue to increase.

The Library is facing several strong challenges in the coming years:

  • Increasing educational, recreational, and cultural needs of the community

  • The reduction and possible elimination of State funding for public libraries

  • The need to upgrade and expand library facilities to be able to provide services to address community needs in a safe and convenient location

You can make a difference in so many ways, and we are counting on your help!

Make a Difference

Can you imagine a community where our children have no safe place to visit after school or have no one to assist them in their homework? Can you imagine the lost opportunities for those that depend on the public library for computer usage, life-long learning, and recreational activities? Imagine your life without your local public library and all of the benefits you and your family may have taken for granted.

If you do not want to imagine these things, then please consider a donation or an annual gift to the Library Foundation. Please make checks payable to the "Washington County Public Library Foundation" and mail or take it to:
