Libraries have always been a place of peace and quiet. With your cooperation, we can continue that tradition at the Washington County Public Library.

Though you do not need to whisper, please keep your voice low.

There is no smoking allowed inside the libraries or near their entrances.

There are no weapons allowed inside library buildings except where allowed by law.

Please turn cellphones off or put them on vibrate.

Please do not make or receive cellphone calls inside the main areas of the libraries.

There is no eating allowed in the libraries unless the food is part of a library-approved program.

Drinks are allowed in covered containers except near any library computer.

All children under 8 years old must be supervised.

No running or roughhousing allowed within library buildings.

All electronic devices, such as MP3 players, digital tablets, and personal computers must be muted or used with earphones.
